Today, since it’s a little warmer than usual, I’ve made the switch from full on winter layers and all that to something a bit more chilled out. I’ve got one of those work-shirt numbers on, but it’s engineers striped, from LEVIS. POLO Rugby chinos in a lighter-than-usual khaki, and a pair of POLO cookie boots. Some say their kind of corny, but I like them and they’re not three-full-bills expensive. Outwear-wise, a vintage ORVIS brown and green navajo print fleece shirt jacket. Probably one of my favorite vintage finds. Oh and some VALENTINO sunglasses, clubmaster frames.
I’m at my desk, but about to head outside and enjoy the sunshine.

Lisel’s hair is tied back in mini dotted navy ribbon from TINSEL TRADING, dark blue jeans from UNIQLO, tucked in blue denim workshirt from RALPH LAUREN, stamped leather horse cameo necklace from OPENING CEREMONY, and TIMBERLAND snow boots.

New York fashion week – mere minutes before rad hourani and im anxiously awaiting in a GARETH PUGH spring 09 rtw split color (black back/white front) lightweight wool coat – long sleeves with silver zippers towards wrists, heavy shoulders and white belt tied at true waist. A black turtleneck with a black one piece from AMERICAN APPAREL underneath, solid black tights and a pair of suede black 5.5 inch ankle boots from TOPSHOP. Earrings falling from one ear only by DARK MATTER LA and CHRIS HABANA. This coat was the newest edition to an extremely overpowering dark wardrobe. An added white balance of exterior beauty.

It’s a rainy night here in L.A. I’m wearing a short THAKOON black tie-dye print dress with a vintage tan leather belt that used to belong to my mother. Underneath, I have on a pair of black crochet tights from J.CREW. To keep warm, I’ve added a black and white striped scarf from India and a burgundy velvet blazer from J.CREW with the sleeves folded up to show the marigold-yellow satin lining. I’d like to wear a pair of embroidered lace-up red canvas slippers bought in S.F. Chinatown last summer, but due to the weather will probably end up wearing my vintage black cowboy boots that I’ve had since I was 15.

First day back to work. It’s 9:00 AM and cold in New York. I am wearing a HICKEY shirt with white collar, tucked into grey wool COMME ÇA pants. I have on a navy and red knit tie from UNIQLO. Also wearing a cardigan from ALTERNATIVE EARTH and dress shoes from BARNEYS. I just got into the office but I was keeping warm with a PAUL SMITH peacoat and a cream-colored scarf from ZARA. I was carrying a JACK SPADE leather bag that houses my PAUL SMITH wallet, my cell phone, AGNES B. keychain and keys (that my wife bought for me as a Christmas present before we were even married) and a January 4, 2010 edition of the New Yorker. There was a great article on Christmas and Vincent Van Gogh’s ear.
