My favorite perfume is “Grey Flannel” by GEOFFREY BEENE. I would like to buy a vintage VESPA PX125 to criss-cross Paris and a new pair of shoes by BILL TORNADE, black and purple inside.

I am based in Paris near Pigalle. It’s 3rd of May 2010 11,3°C (cold !)

Today I’m wearing ANN DEMEULEMEESTER lace-up boots in black color from her fall 2008 collection, black ACNE skinny jeans, JAMES PERSE black tee and RICK OWENS assymetrical hoodie in dusted purple color with a hood. It’s pretty cold in Moscow in winter so I’m also wearing dark grey VIRIDI-ANNE scarf and ANN DEMEULEMEESTER black coat from I think 2005 or 2006 collection. It’s quite old. I’m also wearing Wode by BOUDICCA paint perfume which is my favourite, tiny tooth pendant from PYRHA, and four rings – MARGIELA ring with inside out transparent crystal, UGO CACCIATORI ring, a cheap black oval ring from Camden market and a claw ring. And a necklace with Jesus who has a footbal player attached to his feet. I have MISCHIKO KOSHINO bag with me, it’s black leather tote and it has two Mikey Mouse-styled hands (literally).

Tonight i am wearing two singlets because it suddenly got cold again but I’m not ready for a jacket. The underneath one is black and the one on top is bright neon orange. I’m wearing a badge I made myself that is made of sparkly stickers that says ‘faggette’. Around my neck I’m wearing my new favorite neon kerchief, something like an Andy Warhol print, it has a green background with purple, pink, orange and yellow fruit. Im wearing a high waisted body hugging purple and blue leopard print skirt. On my legs I have a pastel purple pair of stockings that I bought when I was living in Japan, with vivid purple fishnets over the top. On my feet I have 90’s style space boots (because i like to be tall but tonight I’m not wearing heels) with black calf length leg warmers over the top. On my left arm is seventeen bracelets in pink, purple and silver and on my right fourteen clear, silver, green and blue bracelets. Above my cupid’s bow I have spirit gummed a tiny jewel. My ears are stretched up big now with new pastel pink tunnels my friend, and local piercer, gave to me. My eyes are all dusty and sparkley with BEN NYE sunset colors and gold i.d. BARE MINERALS makeup. The hair wax I got in Japan, that I’m wearing tonight, makes me smell like sherbet.

I am wearing a pair of much loved KTZ track pants, from autumn 07/08 (is that retro yet?), I think. I inherited these from a friend in Berlin and they function as both my most comfortable pair of pants (soft, warm, balloony) and one of my most expressive. They’re bright turquoise with a dorky pattern that combines chunky 80s bus seat material graphics with a cute sporty KTZ logo, in green, blue, purple, black and yellow. They are hemmed and waisted with big bands of black ribbing, and have low pockets detailed with a similar strip in black that swoops round the bum as well.

On the top I have two t-shirts and a jumper on, cause it’s cold. The first t-shirt is an 80’s ADIDAS t-shirt I was given by my friends in London who I helped cutting garments for their recycled clothing collection. It is a light mottled grey with flowery, multi coloured satin panels on the sleeves. There is also a small flower shaped patch of the same material on the left breast with ‘Universal Spirit’ in cursive script embroidered over it. The second t-shirt is a black DIAMOND t-shirt (a skateboarding distribution company from the states) my gf and I found at a market in Melbourne. It has a large line based graphic in blue on the front, of a diamond with arabic writing underneath. I’m assuming that says diamond, but I don’t know arabic yet. I also tie-bleached the shirt myself a few weeks ago in a lightning pattern that goes from beige through purple/aubergine to black. The jumper is a turquoise crew neck with a screenprinted graphic of three geese wearing pink bow ties, that was bestowed upon me by my doppelganger/older brother figure in Berlin.

On my feet are white cotton socks I bought in Poland, and round my neck I have a Pounamu (jade) necklace given to me by my mother for my 21st birthday. The shape is known as a Toki, symbolising strength, determination and creativity.
My nails have been painted bright orange with a layer of iridescent flake, although it has almost all chipped off now.

Worn at 10:45 am, 3/12/2009 at my Mum’s house.

I’m currently wearing a sixties geometric print blue, green and purple sleeveless dress that I found in a vintage shop in Edinburgh. This is layered over a simple grey long sleeved top. Over the top I have a crocheted cream short sleeved vintage cardigan, handmade in Shanghai and given to me by my grandma. This is cinched in with a thin vintage black leather belt with a silver rounded buckle- the belt is tied rather than fastened. With this I have black tights and some vintage men’s black brogues. I have a set of 3 victorian silver cuffs/ bracelets in varying sizes with swirled patterns on them. My necklace has an owl on it- my lucky charm. I also have various vintage rings (in blue and green) that were also my grandma’s. The perfume that I am wearing is Miss DIOR Cherie.
I wanted to wear something a bit bright and cheerful because of the miserable weather, but made sure that it was eclectic too by layering the crocheted cardigan. I always love wearing family pieces as they mean more and usually have stories behind them.
